about
Revinova is an AI-powered, enterprise-grade learning platform that helps B2B companies convert educational content into measurable business growth. I designed landing page sections and conducted unmoderated user testing to validate product positioning.

challenges & how we solved them

The first safe dive into the real product design

Work on the Revinova project was one of the most unique experiences of my career at Visual Boston. Everything began quite fast - when I agreed to join the supporting external design team, onboarding started almost immediately.
It took time to study extensive materials developed by the core design team and fully understand the process we were supporting.
My involvement in Revinova divided into two main stages: iterative design for the landing page and onboarding elements, and user testing of key hooks, product positioning, and user understanding.
The design process followed a fairly traditional iterative approach. The main challenge was grasping the product's essence - its business goals, structure, and how we could define the main hooks for the landing page to convert visitors.

one of the most important stages of onboarding
Collaboration with the Asian team of designers and engineers was somewhat challenging due to time zone differences, yet we delivered all design deliverables on time. At this stage, I worked closely with one of my mentors and designed several landing page sections that balanced product education with conversion goals.
I also proposed introducing video format as a visual hook to make the site more interactive - an idea well received by both my mentor and stakeholders and later incorporated into final designs to increase engagement.
Quick onboarding and technical growth:

→  mentoring sessions with the senior designer
→  self-driven learning process
→ prioritization of the most burning areas of knowledge to cover and improve
Aligning design deliverables with the client´s request:

→  proactive communication with the senior designer
→  timely manner of implementing changes
→  improving deliverables until they match technical requirments for the project

User testing and shaping the product image

My favorite part of working on Revinova was contributing to the development, execution, and analysis of user testing results that shaped product positioning.

At first, I planned to write about another project, but I realized that although it was also a web application, the process there was quite linear - client collaboration, iterative design, final result. In contrast, Revinova had a less straightforward path, and the user testing phase became a true highlight compared to standard dashboard and table design work.
some product audit I´ve done
During this phase, I collaborated closely with my senior designer. We split responsibilities: he worked on research concept and reference designs, while I refined missing screens, helped develop surveys, created studies in Maze, and handled tester recruitment and research management - end-to-end ownership of testing execution.
While preparing design assets was fairly straightforward, integrating with Maze raised several technical questions. I turned to resources and self-learning to resolve them and successfully created all necessary test materials and linked Figma prototypes.
The next step was finding study participants. Here, I applied my background in sociological research, recalling my experience selecting participants for large-scale international non-formal education projects.
I defined target user demographics, created a pre-selection questionnaire to filter unsuitable candidates, and selected those who best fit the criteria - enabling us to start testing.
In another project, the O2X Application, I also helped organize user testing, but unlike Revinova, we already had a pool of actual app users, so no additional recruitment was required. This project gave me a valuable new skill—recruiting testers from scratch.
Afterward, I collected all data from Maze, reviewed video and audio recordings, and prepared a detailed report of research findings, which I presented to the client. Working on user testing for Revinova was the moment I fully strengthened my practical knowledge in user research and applied it effectively to uncover insights essential for product positioning.
Bringing order to the design process:

→  argumentative lobbying of the implementation of the UX-research-based design approach
→  applying project management skills to resolve confusing situations
Creating quality base for the further product work:

→ applying deep research methods
→  coordinatingcagenda in advance and tactic manner of communication
results
Although my participation wasn't long-term or fully traditional in workflow, I truly appreciated the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of most user testing tasks, successfully complete them, and identify key takeaways for the product's next development steps.
Differing stakeholder opinions from the beginning required our design team - and me personally - not only to execute design tasks but also to apply strategic communication, a mix of UX methods, and survey-based research to extract critical insights from the client side.

As a result, I helped the Revinova core team gain clarity and direction for upcoming product development.
